This site is new and refreshing from other sites and magazines which seldom have snippets or photos of diesel locomotives operating in Scotland. The team at Scottish Locos are VERY excited that saltire livery trains are now running across Scotland. We appreciate at the moment that this livery is to be applied to First Scotrail DMU/EMU but we are hoping for diesel locomotives to be painted in saltire livery.
The Scottish Locos team have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you exciting new content. New features on the site include a tribute to Motherwell TMD (gone but not forgotten). We now have full coverage of the First Scotrail Edinburgh-Fife and Fife-Edinburgh Class 67 Loco-Hauled services which started in December with more updates on the way as spring approaches. Another addition will be pictures of layouts from a new book by expert modeller Peter Marriott. We will also be covering other exciting events which we are keeping to ourselves for now. Progress on an exciting new modelling project will be catalogued on Scottish Locos.
